Delivery of the new BAI EFESTUS X6V prototype.

Today the new BAI EFESTUS X6V, BAI model VSA 9500 S / DP 250 on VOLVO FMX D13 6X6 Euro 6 chassis, has been delivered to the Italian National Fire Brigade. This is the first vehicle of a supply agreement of 25 units, signed with the Italian Ministry of the Interior.
The BAI VSA 9500 S / DP 250 model is an all-wheel drive three-axle vehicle with third steering axle that allows higher maneuverability of the vehicle and reduces wear of the pneumatics. Although it will be destined to operate at Italian airports, it will be able to operate on civil roads also.
The two fire monitors, one on the roof (BAI EM 4) and one on the bumper (BAI EM 2), the light mast, the two independent self-protection systems and the double mixing system, make this vehicle suitable to operate quickly and safely at airports if there is an aircraft accident.
In addition to a 40m hose reel supplying water and foam, a powder hose reel mounted on a swing wall is also available.
Finally, the vehicle is equipped with Quick-Start kit with self-detaching plug socket, which is also enabled by an external power supply connection.
This model complies with ICAO standards (International Civil Aviation Organization).
